Application: Deep Drill — Apple / iOS version

This Privacy Policy applies to the Apple (iOS) version of Deep Drill, a mobile game developed and published by Mateusz Karczewski (the “Developer”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Deep Drill is a general-audience game, not an app specifically designed for children. This Policy describes data processed by the game and its service providers.

1. Information handled by the game

Deep Drill does not require an account with the Developer and does not ask players to provide their name, telephone number, postal address, contact list or full payment-card information. Game progress, unlocked locations and discoveries, resources, in-game currency, equipment upgrades, settings, gameplay statistics, timers and purchase entitlements may be saved on the device. If a game feature uses an online service, the information necessary to provide that feature may also be transmitted to the service provider.

2. Analytics — Google Analytics for Firebase (GA4)

The iOS version uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how Deep Drill is used and to improve gameplay, stability and the application experience. Depending on the SDK configuration and gameplay events, Google Analytics may collect or process:

  • app opens, first launches, session counts and duration, and interactions with game features;
  • app version, device model, operating system and general technical information;
  • app-instance / installation identifiers and, depending on the SDK configuration and iOS permissions, device identifiers such as IDFV or IDFA;
  • approximate geographic information, for example a country or region inferred from network information or IP address;
  • in-app purchase events and product or transaction-related event metadata, where such events are recorded.

These data help us understand engagement, discover usability issues and evaluate changes to the game. They are not used by the Developer to display ads within Deep Drill.

3. Crash reports and technical diagnostics — Firebase Crashlytics

Deep Drill uses Firebase Crashlytics for error reporting and technical diagnostics. When a crash or recorded error occurs, Crashlytics may process stack traces, relevant application state, timestamps, app and operating-system versions, device model, installation or session identifiers, and associated diagnostic information. When Analytics and Crashlytics are integrated, diagnostic reports may include events leading up to a crash. The purpose is to find and fix bugs, assess reliability and improve performance.

4. Advertising and tracking

The Apple version of Deep Drill does not display third-party advertising, including banner, interstitial or rewarded advertisements. The Developer does not use player information collected in the game to serve personalized ads or to track players across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising. Technical identifiers used by analytics or diagnostics should not be confused with an advertising feature.

5. Categories of information and purposes

Depending on the enabled SDK features and actual use of the application, the following types of information may be processed:

Data categoryExamples and purpose
Device identifiersApp installation identifier, identifier for vendor and any other identifiers available to the installed SDK; analytics, measurement and diagnostics.
Usage dataGame feature interactions, events, sessions and engagement; gameplay and product improvement.
Approximate locationCountry or region inferred from IP address or other network information; aggregate analytics. The game does not need precise GPS location for these functions.
Crash dataCrash logs, stack traces and related application state; identifying and resolving errors.
Performance dataApp stability, technical performance and operational metrics where available; optimization and quality.
Other diagnostic dataDevice and OS information, SDK status, technical logs, timestamps and error context; maintenance and troubleshooting.

Data collected under a persistent installation or device identifier may be associated with that identifier even where the Developer does not know the player’s name. The exact information processed depends on the SDKs included in the installed version and their configuration.

6. Purposes and legal bases

Information is processed to provide and maintain the game, understand usage, fix errors, improve stability and game design, process or restore purchases, secure services and comply with legal obligations. Where GDPR, UK GDPR or similar legislation applies, applicable legal bases may include performance of a contract (game functionality and purchases), legitimate interests where permitted (security and necessary diagnostics), compliance with legal obligations and consent where required (including for analytics where applicable). Processing that legally requires consent must comply with applicable consent requirements.

7. In-app purchases

Deep Drill may offer optional purchases handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; the Developer does not receive full payment-card details or Apple Account login credentials. The game and relevant providers may process product identifiers, purchase status, transaction identifiers, receipts and entitlement information to validate, unlock, support, refund or restore purchased content. Where purchase events are recorded through Google Analytics, relevant event information may also be processed by Google.

8. Service providers and international transfers

Google provides Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics; Apple provides App Store purchasing and other Apple services. Google may process analytics and diagnostic information on Google-managed infrastructure, including outside the user’s country. Apple independently processes information relating to its own services in accordance with its privacy practices. Data transfers are subject to applicable legal safeguards where required.

The Developer does not sell players’ personal data.

9. Children

Deep Drill is intended for a general audience and is not specifically designed for children or submitted as a “Made for Kids” app. It does not provide an in-game form asking children for their name, contact details or other directly identifying information, and it does not display third-party advertisements. The analytics and diagnostics described above may operate when a child uses the game. Parents and guardians may contact the Developer about privacy requests relating to a child. Applicable child-privacy rules, including parental-consent requirements where relevant, must be observed.

10. Storage, retention and security

Game information saved locally generally remains on the device until reset, deletion or uninstallation, subject to any device backups. Google stores and retains analytics and diagnostic information in accordance with its service settings, retention policies and applicable law; retention periods can vary by data type and service configuration. Apple retains information it processes under its own terms and policies. We take reasonable measures to protect information, although no electronic system offers absolute security.

11. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on local law, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, request data portability, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Some information is held by Google or Apple under their own procedures. You can contact us using the address below to ask about information processed in connection with Deep Drill and available choices. Device-level privacy controls may also apply.

12. Updates and contact

This Policy may change when the app, SDK configuration, service providers or applicable laws change. We will publish updates here and revise the date shown at the top of this page. For privacy questions or requests, please contact the Developer, Mateusz Karczewski, at westpoland@gmail.com.
